Dr Rosie Worsley is an endocrinologist specialising in women’s health. That is, a women’s hormone specialist. She has been a doctor for 15 years with the last decade dedicated to women’s health.
Dr Worsley attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians specialising in endocrinology. Through her training she gained experience in all areas of endocrinology and diabetes. She then undertook a PhD in menopause through Monash University. She has also contributed to research on the effects of hormones on mental health. Her research has received awards from the the Australasian Menopause Society, the European Menopause Society, the International Menopause Society, the North American Menopause Society and the Endocrine Society of Australia.
She has also spent considerable time working at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, a large tertiary referral centre. Here she worked in women’s health clinics that served women with very complex medical and psychiatric conditions.
Dr Worsley is one of the few clinicians in Australia with specific expertise in Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. She sees a large number of women with PMDD every year. She also sees women with other menstrual cycle related problems.
Dr Worsley’s other main clinical interests include polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause, thyroid disorders and osteoporosis. She is a certified menopause practitioner with the North American Menopause Society.
Dr Rosie Worsley has a warm, respectful and common sense approach. She likes to collaborate with women and their healthcare team. She is happy to conduct Telehealth appointments with you alone or in conjunction with your GP, diabetes educator, another health professional or family member.
As the mother of two young children her main interests include sleeping, eating chocolate and watching TV, though she doesn’t get to do these things very often!
